JEE Main 2014 Entrance Exam is the leading entrance exam in the country which is a gateway to undergraduate admission in numerous best graded engineering colleges and it would be conducted on 6 April 2014 (offline mode). Also called as Joint Entrance Examination, it’s taken by thousands of candidates who aspire to obtain a seat in premier institutes including NITs. JEE is conducted at two levels called as Main and Advanced. Former is meant for NITs and other colleges while the latter is attempted exclusively for IITs. About JEE Main 2014:
A common exam for Undergraduate Engineering admissions in two stages comprising of
- JEE-Main 2014 : conducted by CBSE for admissions to the NITs, CFTIs
- JEE-Advanced 2014: Conducted by IIT Kharagpur.
Whats New in JEE 2014:
- 1. The JEE Main 2014 Application Form is online. Candidates have to upload their photographs, signature and the left thumb impression in JPEG format as specified. No documents have to be sent to the JEE Main office
- 2. Maharashtra and Odisha also join Gujarat in the JEE Main system with JEE Main 2014 as the entrance exams for the engineering admissions in these state.
JEE Main 2014 Eligibility Criteria :
- The minimum academic qualification for appearing in JEE Mains 2013 is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of class XII or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination.
- Those appearing in class XII final or equivalent examination in 2014 may also appear in JEE Mains 2014 examination provisionally.
- Candidates passed Class XII in 2011 or before are not eligible to appear in JEE Main examination. Only candidates passing in 2012/ 2013 or 2014 are eligible
- Candidates’ date of birth should be on or after October 1, 1989 (5 years relaxation for SC/ST/PwD i.e 1984)
- Candidates can attempt JEE Main for a maximum of three times.
- Note: the criteria for the states of Maharashtra, Odisha and Gujarat will be as per their past practices.

JEE Main 2014 Reservation of Seats
